Have you ever had a lemonade stand? How about competition with a sibling? Well, in the 173 paged children’s novel ‘the Lemonade War’ by Jacqueline Davies, two siblings, Evan and Jessie Treski, go head to head in a lemonade selling competition. The first person with the most money made from selling lemonade by the end of the last six days of summer wins. Sibling rivalry fuels the competition as it goes on. This is the first book in the five-book series.
I like this book. It’s quite interesting and I say this because I’ve read this book more than once. What makes me come back to this book is the fact I read it differently every time. Another reason I like this book is because it feels like the characters are real and the characters have so many emotions. The first time I read it I was hooked and I read it until I finished it. It has a nice moral about it’s better to be kind. This book has a perfect ending that goes flawlessly into the next book. It’s a very heartwarming and lighthearted book. All the books I’ve read of this series have been great.
I still think that people should read it. This book is kind of like the Fudge series so if you like the Fudge series I definitely encourage you to read this book. It’s fun, and the cliffhangers that make you want to read more. This book is at an easy reading level.
