Get Educated About Marijuana

marijuana education banner pictureThe Ontario Cannabis Store (OCS) has reported that their daily sales have held steady around the 9,000 level, almost five times the amount made prior to the COVID-19 pandemic. OCS data shows more than one-third of all orders are classified as new OCS customers. No matter if you are new to cannabis or a regular consumer, using the substance for recreational or medical reasons, education on the topic is key.  Thunder Bay Public Library (TBPL) has resources so you can make informed decisions about marijuana.

Similarly, The Wholistic Healing Guide to Cannabis: Understanding the Endocannabinoid System offers a wealth of valuable information to healthcare professionals, practitioners of the healing arts, dispensary workers, and medical cannabis users who want to understand the science of cannabis and its effects on the body.

Maybe a healthcare professional has recommended you try weed for medical purposes? TBPL has resources for you on this topic too. Cannabis Pharmacy offers information on how marijuana works with the body’s own system, how best to prepare and administer it, and how to modify and control dosage. This book contains the latest information on the body’s endocannabinoid system, which is understood to control emotion, appetite, and memory. This book provides all the information you need to grow cannabis.

TBPL also offers current resources to make edible products.  Cooking with Cannabis and Bong Appetit both offer pictures and recipes if you choose to incorporate cannabis into your diet.

As with every substance, supplement and intoxicant, knowledge is key.  TBPL has over thirty resources available for loan, so you can make informed decisions for yourself.
